David founded Gilman, Pope, Scribner & Robles with twenty years of business brokerage experience.  Prior to that, he had owned several companies and specialized in franchising.

Before starting GPSR, Mr. Scribner was the top producer for United Business Investments, Inc., the then largest company in the nation involved in the sale of small businesses.  He then specialized in franchises at VR Business Brokers, Inc. (the then largest U.S. franchisor of business brokerage offices) and UBI Business Brokers, Inc., where he served as vice president of franchising and operations.  Mr. Scribner then headed Concord Business Investments, Inc. (the then largest single location brokerage office in the western U.S.) as general manager. 
  
Mr. Scribner's professional highlights and honors include:

  • founding member of the International Business Brokers Association, the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the business brokerage community; its goals include increasing professionalism, setting uniform industry standards and on-going educational programs
  • expert witness in California and Texas with regard to business valuation and standard practices of the business brokerage industry
  • guest speaker at a number of professional and business functions dealing with the various aspects of business ownership, valuations and equity transfers
