“Where are all of the great, single millionaires?” That’s a question I get asked all the time. And honestly, the answer isn’t all that complicated or difficult to find out. All you have to do is think like a millionaire. If you had the financial means, what would you do? Where would you go? How would you spend your time? Just giving those questions some solid thinking will land you with several options of where you can go to meet millionaires. The bar areas of steak houses. Charity events. Tech conferences. What you might not be thinking about, though, is where you can travel to and meet some fantastic, financially stable men. Well, I’ve done a little digging into easy domestic trips you can take to find those fellows. And while there are of course some obvious destinations, like New York City and San Francisco, I’ve found three very unexpected destinations with high millionaire populations that could be perfect for finding your soulmate.

Meet millionaires in Alaska

According to BusinessInsider.com, there are only ten states in the country with more men than women. And with 108.5 men for every 100 women, Alaska is at the very top of that list. So, the numbers are already working in your favor with a visit to Alaska. Add that to the fact that Alaska ranks fifth among states for millionaires per capita, according to AlaskaPublic.org, and you’ve got some very friendly math. Male millionaires are living in Alaska at a higher rate than they are in most other places in the country and there aren’t enough women for them to date. What are you waiting for? Get on a plane and get to Alaska!

Meet millionaires in Washington, D.C.

Of course we want to think that our public servants get into politics because they want to serve our nation and affect change, not for financial gain. But, the truth is that politics and money go together like peas and carrots. And our nation’s capital ranks tenth in a national list of millionaires per capita according to CNBC. It’s also surrounded by two of the wealthiest states in the country, Maryland, which ranks first in millionaires per capita, and Virginia, which is seventh. This high density of millionaires wasn’t impacted that much by the recession because the federal government and military were two of the few sectors that didn’t go through major job cuts during the economic downturn. There’s a lot of history to explore in D.C., but if you go with an eye for romance, I’m sure you’ll find some fantastic matches.

Meet millionaires in Delaware

Not the sexiest vacation destination, I know. But, Delaware has really friendly tax laws for corporations. So, a lot of savvy millionaires base their companies out of the state and maintain residences there. The same CNBC post lists Delaware as the state with the seventh highest density of millionaires per capita. I say check out Delaware during the summer because they have fantastic beaches. Get a tan, eat some fantastic seafood and then gussy yourself up to meet the millionaire of your dreams!

Hope you all have some frequent flyer miles to burn! Get out of your comfort zone and into one of these unexpected places that are home to fantastic, eligible millionaires.
